Dedicated to empowering Muslim women with divine knowledge, MLAC provides structured courses in Quranic recitation, Arabic language, and Islamic sciences. Join a tradition of learning that bridges faith and intellectual growth.
Over and above the standard education girls of a corresponding age will be exposed to in secular schools in Sri Lanka, the students of MLAC are required to follow the Moulaviya course from the age of 12. It is necessary therefore, to have the school year running for 42 weeks of the year.
Despite this apparently hectic schedule, and a workload significantly heavier than their counterparts in schools offering secular education only, the MLAC students have done remarkably well. In the most recent nationwide ratings (comparing Arts and Commerce A-Level results, 2016), MLAC was ranked Number 25 in the entire island.
